METAvivor Coffee & Chat

The Metastatic breast cancer support group METAvivor meets occasionally at Zü Coffee for a chat and support. Women and men with metastatic breast cancer, who live in and around Annapolis Maryland are welcome to join this friendly face-to-face gathering.

The METAvivor Research and Support Program evolved out of a local support group established in Annapolis, Maryland in 2007 for persons with metastatic breast cancer.  The program is run by and for those with metastatic breast cancer.  In their first 13 months the group grew to 27 members and expanded their focus to build awareness.  In April 2008 they designed and produced a metastatic breast cancer awareness ribbon pin and began selling the pin as their first official fundraising effort.

In January 2009 METAvivor incorporated and in May 2009 it was awarded 501(c)(3) non-profit status.  Today, the group has a very active support program and a year-round fundraising effort that allows them to award an annual research grant in the field of metastatic breast cancer.

The next METAvivor coffee will be on March 18 and every second week following.
